John Scurci
A graduate of both Yale and the University of Chicago, John worked for Morgan Stanley and Lazard Freres in New York City before leaving Wall Street to pursue Value Investing with his own company.
A native of Toronto, Canada, John enjoys reading, swimming, sailing, and traveling. He is happy to be able to live in the Caribbean.
Tamara Ogorzaly
A native New Jerseyan, Tamara lived in France, Belgium, and Colorado before making her home in Tortola, BVI. After graduation from Yale University with a B.A. in English Literature and Film Criticism, Tamara and John settled in New Jersey where Tamara raised their two children while working as a Real Estate Property Manager. A community activist, Tamara also volunteered with the American Association of University Women, The League of Women Voters, school and community libraries, and the local garden club.
Tamara has utilized her college degree while writing fantasy and gothic horror short stories, and watching as many movies as possible.
An avid swimmer, snorkeler, and surfer, Tamara is passionate about the ocean, and works to preserve it for future generations. She believes the Caribbean is vital to the planet's future, and invites you to share this dream.
Julian Scurci
Raised in NJ, Julian is a graduate of Hamilton College in Clinton, NY,where he studied political science and philosophy and played Varsity Soccer.
After working as a securities fraud analyst at Wilmer, Cutler, Pickering, Hale and Dorr in Washington, DC, Julian attended Business School at the University of Denver-Daniels College of Business, receiving both an MBA in Finance and an MS in Real-Estate and Construction Management.
Julian's first job after Business School was with ProLogis (the world's largest industrial focused REIT) Investment Management group, as a financial analyst on the firm's largest open-ended private-equity development fund.
At present, Julian is an associate with Baceline Investments LLC, a Private Equity firm specializing in the acquisition of distressed industrial and retail properties throughout the heartland Midwest. He also owns and manages four rental units in Denver, Colorado.
In addition to his passion for real estate investing, Julian is an outdoor enthusiast who spends his free time skiing, cycling, hiking, and running, when he is not indoors cooking and reading economic and political history.
Vanessa Scurci
Born in Morristown, NJ, Vanessa attended the Lawrenceville School and Yale University before receiving her degree in Religious Studies from the University of Colorado - Boulder.
An avid rock-climber and telemark skier, Vanessa now makes her home in Lakewood, Colorado, where she owns and manages Dolce Vita Creamery LLC, an organic dairy farm, with her husband Ethan. When she is not busy milking goats and making chevre, Vanessa enjoys traveling to exotic places like Thailand and Rio de Janeiro.
Our resident environmentalist and eco-adventurer, Vanessa guides our property management activities in a manner consistent with proper stewardship of our fragile natural world and our scarce natural resources. Vanessa passionately believes that a cleaner Caribbean is a better world.
